...Saya Itami!!

I met Saya through a really good friend of mine this past summer. She is an amazing nail artist and I'm always ooing and ahing over her things. In Tokyo these nail creations have become an art form of their own (and rightfully so). I think New York should catch onto this!

Saya has allowed me to spotlight her here and so I've picked out only a few of her many designs to share with you all! If you're ever in the mood for a wild nail makeover, go to her!!

The master herself, Saya Itami!

...a little bit of modeling

Last month I was at a Starbucks in Harajuku when a few girls from Mode school came up to me and asked if I could act as their model for a make-up project they were working on. I happily agreed to help:) Yesterday was finally the day and on top of getting to actually enter into this grand building in Shinjuku, I was also able to bring two of my friends, Alice and Emily.
Our theme was "Easter" so we all have an egg in our hands and white and gold paint on our face to further echo the egg idea. There were other models with other themes such as "autumn," "winter," and "jack and the beanstalk".
Enjoy!!

The Fashion School, Mode, in Shinjuku

The models on top (Alice, Emily, me, Michelle) and make-up artists on bottom.

Me in a Harajuku-girl style costume. Not exactly my style of clothes, make-up,or hair, but my artist was able to accomplish exactly what she wanted. Which is the point.... :)

Emily, flamboyant and beautiful.

Beautiful Alice (who is Italian), turned into an Egyptian princess! She has tanner all over her body, amazing design on her left eye, and even a wing! She had the funnest and sexiest transformation ;)

All shots were taken by Alice.

...my introduction: a smorgasbord of ideas

Hello blog world!

It's very nice to finally be starting this blog after all the time and thought I have put into the idea. I have been an avid reader of certain blogs and know all the time and creative energy that gets put into making them amazing. I wasn't sure if I was up for the task myself, but the better part of me would like to give it a try.

'Today I Love...' is a blog dedicated to all things design, creative, and uplifting. My name is Dale Ryan and I am currently living in Tokyo, Japan where I am working on becoming a certified flower designer. I love to travel, to play my piano, and plan/coordinate events. Because I can't choose one line of work or interest in real life, there was no way I could choose one for this blog either. I am also very blessed to be surrounded by so many creative people in all areas of design and art that I would love to  share them with you here as well. So expect to see things that I personally create, people and things I draw inspiration from and spotlights of some very amazing people doing amazing things.  Look forward to hearing from you!!
