...having Royal Fever!

I don't know how it is in other parts of the world, but here in NY everyone's thoughts and eyes have been on the royal wedding in England. New Yorkers woke up extra early today to watch the wedding. The wait was well worth it because it was divine. Full of beautiful and tasteful fashion and lots of love.
The much anticipated dress that Kate Middleton wore also did not disappoint. She wore a dress designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen that combined traditional elegance and modernity. It was full of satin gazar, silk tulle, and lace, put together entirely by hand with all fabrics and designers originating in Britain.
Hats also seemed to be make a bold appearance at the wedding. Princess Eugenie and Beatrice, Prime Minister's wife Miriam Gonzalez Duantezthe, and the expected Victoria Beckham were just a few of the guests spotted wearing hats.
Aside from a very posh gathering of posh people, there were also lots of very touching words exchanged and that is what I will end this post with.
The Bishop of London started his speech with this: '“Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire.” So said St Catherine of Siena whose festival day it is today. Marriage is intended to be a way in which man and woman help each other to become what God meant each one to be, their deepest and truest selves.'

...easter brunch

This Sunday was a lot of fun. We had nice food, a relaxed sunny day, and very nice company. Unfortunately there aren't any pictures of the great company but a here's a few pictures of the table. The pink poofs are some decorations I made in a few minutes with tissue paper and the gold vases I bought while I was in Thailand. The white hydrangeas look really nice in them. It was a bright and airy feel that really complimented the day. <3

Here are some pictures of the student film I was in in Singapore.
Have fun!

...Thailand

I have lots of photos and stories to share with you all. In Singapore I was in a short student film called Teleport. I'll be posting photos and the film in coming posts so hang on! In the mean time, while I was in Thailand I coincidentally was in a little part of a Thai reality show called "Will You Marry Me?". As you would probably assume, it is a proposal show where one couple knows they are being filmed and pops the question to his/her fiance while the cameras are rolling mysteriously in the background.
My friends and I were in the park while it was being filmed and were asked to first be in the background having our picnic, but then they asked us to sing and dance with them as well. Although it was slightly embarrassing, I'm happy to have had the experience and the memory. So please enjoy it too! I come in around minute 12. <3

...Japan

It's been far too long since my last post and I apologize for this. It's been very hectic but things have started to finally settle down. I was living in Tokyo, Japan and then left for Singapore to be in a student film, and then a week's vacation in Thailand to see some friends. In that time however, Japan had a horrible 9.0 earthquake followed by a tsunami and scares of radiation poisoning from the devastated nuclear plants in Fukushima. After extending my trip in Thailand from a week to a month, my boyfriend and I decided to go to NYC (where I'm from) for a few months until things settled down a little more in Japan. So it looks like our summer will be spent in NY, which isn't the worst thing. It feels very strange to have left Tokyo on vacation and not to be able to go back however. I find myself feeling guilty and missing my friends in Japan. I love them all dearly and I pray for the speedy recovery of the country. Everywhere I go I'm finding people coming together to help in whatever way they can. Japan has touched so many people and it is great to see people giving back.
I'm looking forward to going back as soon as I can. Japan, you're in my thoughts and prayers. And to all my friends, I love you very much.
